Wouldn't it be great to be able to roll your workbench
out onto your workshop floor whenever you need to use it? Then, effortlessly
roll it off to the side when you're finished? Wouldn't it be great to
have your router always available when you need it without having to get it out
of a storage space?
And how about clamping? Even the best woodworking
vices have limits on their ability to clamp really large work
pieces.
And finally, wouldn't it be great to have plenty of drawer space
and more cabinet space?
Well, you can have it all with this workbench
and the plans are FREE! All I ask in return is that you purchase the supplies
and tools you need from the affiliate ads on this website an/or the ads in the
PDF plans file. All of my advertisers are established companies with
competitive prices and excellent customer service track records.
- The large casters make it easy to roll out onto the floor when
you need it and roll it back to the side when you're finished for the
day.
- The built in router table literally provides a "router on
demand". Simply raise the router to the working position when you need it and
lower it below the work surface when you're finished with it. In the lowered
position, the plate is simply part of the workbench top.
Of course, if you
prefer not to have the router table built in, the workbench is even easier to
build without it.
- Possibly even better than the built in router table is the
unique clamping system. The layout of T-Track on the top and along the sides
enables you to clamp very small or very large work pieces. You can actually
clamp a work piece that is larger than the top of the workbench! It's great for
holding workpieces for sanding , jig sawing, or even gluing up smaller boards
to make a larger one.
- The T-Track arrangement not only provides a great clamping
system, You use it to hold a work light or magnifying glass too.
- The second strip of T-Track on the left side permits clamping
large work pieces in a vertical position. Occasionally, we all find ourselves
needing a way to hold a large work piece in a vertical position. A good example
would be attaching a mailbox to a post. This T-track arrangement is like having
a helper to hold your workpieces in exactly the position you need
them.
- Even better, there is no wasted space with this workbench.
You'll have seven spacious drawers, cabinet space in the middle and two large
router bit trays. (The 6" deep router bit trays are in front of the built in
router table and have drawer fronts so they look like the other
drawers.)
- And finally, the design adds an attractive touch to your work
shop or garage. You will probably have people asking if you're building a piece
of furniture when they see it taking shape.

Extra-Large Aluminum Router Plate. This plate is both
large enough and strong enough to offer maximum support for larger routers (2
HP and up). It measures 9'' x 13''.
The 3-5/8'' opening is large enough
for horizontal raised panel bits. Includes two Delrin inserts; one 1-1/2''
Delrin insert and a blank insert. Choose the plate that is already pre-drilled
for your router. |

Click here | Ever miss the mark
with your miter saw? Wouldn't
it be great to know exactly where your saw is going to make
the cut before you make the cut?
The Laserkerf projects a super fine laser beam precisely in the center
of the kerf. A beam so accurate, you can literally split your
pencil mark. You will get the same accuracy regardless of which side of
the cut your mark is on.
