The finished bar is 72" long, 42 1/2" high, and 24" in depth. It features a solid oak armrest and brass footrail. The trim in front gives the appearance of a frame and panel design but this design is much easier to build.

In the rear you'll have a convenient workshelf, two sliding wine racks, three drawers, and two convenient storage shelves. The cabinet is made of readily available 3/4" oak plywood.

This bar is amazingly easy to build and assemble. The biggest challenge for most of us will be cutting the panels from full size sheets of plywood. Well, that’s not a challenge at all when you have a simple panel saw.

You can easily build the Panel Saw shown to the right with a few pine boards and some readily available hardware. This panel saw is quite simple and very inexpensive to make. In fact, you may already have enough scrap wood in your shop to make it. It consists of four identical tracks that clamp to a couple of two by fours or a workbench top. When you're finished using it, simply unclamp the tracks and store them in an out of the way corner of your shop until next time you need them.
